UMP mechanical impact tool delivers impact load (downward strikes) during post-fracturing proppant cleanout (destruction of proppant crust).
Mechanical impact tool consists of a housing, a shaft, shaft shank, lock screw and O-rings. The housing is comprised of three constituent units that are thread interconnected. Hexagon splined section in the inner surface of the housing engaged with matching splines on the shaft allows torque to be transmitted through the tool.
The shaft has tubing box thread at the bottom and thread connected shaft shank at the top. O-rings are installed in grooves on the sleeve external surface to seal off the shaft-housing joint. The tool has watercourse in the shaft to maintain circulation.
