Application

RM shear release joint provide for a simple, effective emergency release of coiled tubing in a particular stuck point or planned LIH.

Design

The joint consists of a body and a sub to be connected to coiled tubing with shear pins. The connection is sealed off with rubber rings. Should the tool be left in hole or get stuck, pull the string and disengage body and the sub by shearing pins.
